The agreement between you and TaperØff when you use the app. We've tried to keep it readable.

1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the TaperØff app and this website (together, "TaperØff"). By using TaperØff you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
TaperØff is provided by Corkscrew technologies ltd ("we", "us"). You can reach us at quit@taperoff.io.

2. What TaperØff is, and isn't
TaperØff helps you follow a plan to reduce and stop vaping. It is a wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to your GP, a pharmacist or your local NHS Stop Smoking Service about your health, especially if you're pregnant, have a health condition, or vape to stay off cigarettes.
If you vape to stay off cigarettes, the NHS advises only stopping vaping once you're confident you won't smoke. TaperØff isn't designed to help you stop smoking tobacco.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over to use TaperØff.
4. Your data, on your phone
This version of TaperØff has no accounts and no sync: what you record stays on your phone (and your watch, if you use one). We don't hold a copy, so we can't restore it for you. If you delete the app or erase its data, or lose your phone, what you recorded is gone. You can export a copy at any time from the app.
Sync between your devices may arrive in an update. If it does, it will be optional, and we'll update these terms, and tell you in the app, before it's offered.
5. Free plan and Plus
The free plan includes a complete quit journey. TaperØff Plus is optional and is sold through the App Store or Google Play as a one-off purchase or a monthly subscription, under their terms for billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Prices are shown before you buy. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
6. Using TaperØff fairly
Please don't misuse the service: no attempts to break its security, overload it, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to harm anyone else.
7. Your content
What you record in TaperØff is yours. It stays on your devices, and we never receive it.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep TaperØff working well, but can't promise it will always be error-free. The app works offline and doesn't depend on any service of ours. We may change or retire features; if a change significantly affects something you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, or for decisions you make about your health.
10. Ending things
You can stop using TaperØff at any time, and erase everything it holds from the app (how to delete your data). If you have a monthly Plus subscription, cancel it through your app store.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
